Anti-Bullying School Assembly

WARREN, NJ – Superhero Omegaman used strongman feats to deliver an energetic anti-bullying message in two assemblies at Central on Feb. 2… bending steel with his teeth into the shape of the Greek Omega symbol and ripping in half a 300+ word telephone book he called the “Book of Bad Choices.”

“I travel all across the United States to encourage kids to be a dream-maker, not a dream- breaker,” Omegaman, a.k.a. Marc Wilkes, told the students, many of who wore their favorite superhero shirts for the occasion.

Wilkes, who has visited over 5000 schools in more than 45 states since he began offering the Omegaman & Friends assemblies eight years ago, encouraged his young audiences to be a H.E.R.O. – Helping Everyone Respect Others – and to make positive and healthy choices both in word and deed.

“The choices you make every day reflect your character,” he said.

Omegaman kept the presentation lively (breaking a wooden bat over his knee and lifting a metal pole over his head with two students holding on to either end, for example) as he touched on the varying faces of bullying and the importance of positive character development.

“The high energy was great. It really kept the kids engaged, I recommend this school assembly for every school.” said Guidance Counselor Patricia Morris who enlisted the help of the Central PTO to arrange Omegaman’s visit.
